Sydney Bike Training provides prides itself on the flexibility of our trainers. Our motorcycle rider training material is matched to your skill level. The objective is to let you learn at your own pace, in a safe manner and get you comfortable on your bike.

Motorcycle rider training can be conducted using your own equipment or ours. Our instructors will arrange a suitable location near you for training and can collect you from a convenient location and escort you to the training site.

Whether you are completely new to motorcycles or looking at riding for a living, we can assist you in achieving your motorcycling goals by providing customised one-on-one motorcycle training.

  • The instructor will agree a time and date which should best suit your requirements.
  • The instructor will travel to an agreed meeting point.
  • The instructor will provide training at a location close to your home, work or best suited to the lesson plan requirements.
  • Both motorcycles or scooters are available for loan during training (from very small to medium or more progressive motorbikes for those seeking to master large or heavy motorcycles).
  • Sydney Bike Training can also supply rider safety wear, apparel and helmets if required.

We appreciate that a rider will experience many different challenges throughout their motorcycling riding lifetime. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide the knowledge, support and training to turn those challenges into opportunities for skills development that will serve you a lifetime.

Approved motorcycles for novice riders

The Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) in NSW permits novice riders to operate motorcycles or motor trikes that are listed by Transport for NSW as Approved Motorcycles for Novice Riders.

These approved motorcycles generally have an engine capacity of no more than 660 cubic centimetres (cc), a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 150kW/tonne, and have not been modified, with exceptions for certain accessibility modification. Electric motorcycles with a power output not exceeding 25kW are also included.

Important note: Motorcycling is a hazardous activity. Sydney Bike Training will not be held liable for any claims relating to personal injury, damage or loss of property or equipment whilst participating in, or as a result of, any training. Any road tolls are at rider’s expense.
